Katie Fulcher

Katie was born in Oregon but moved to Flowery Branch, Georgia with her parents when she was four years old in order to be closer to family.  While living in Flowery Branch, she attended Flowery Branch UMC.  Before her freshman year in high school she moved with her mother and sister to Jackson County.  It was at Jackson County high school that she met and later married her high school sweetheart, Chad Fulcher.  Katie moved to Athens after graduating high school where she attended the University of Georgia and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Development.

After she graduated college Katie and Chad were married and in 2006 they had their first child, Emma Kate.  At that time Katie decided to be a stay at home mom after working as a manager at the outlet mall in Commerce for many years.  Once their daughter was born they began attending her husband’s family church, Attica Baptist in Athens, Georgia.  In 2010, they welcomed their second child, Tyler to the family.  Katie and her family have been attending The Vine Church in Hoschton since 2011; where Katie has served as a VBS teacher and curriculum coordinator for the 3-year-old classes.

Katie started working at First Baptist Church of Jefferson in the Mother’s Morning Out program with her son Tyler in 2011.  In the 2 years prior her daughter, Emma Kate attended the preschool’s 3 and 4-year-old classes.  The following year Katie began working at the preschool as a 3-year-old assistant teacher and moved to lead teacher later that same year.  She has been working as the 5-day 3-year-old lead teacher since 2013.  During that time, her youngest child Tyler attended another year of Mother’s Morning Out and the 2, 3 and 4-year-old preschool classes.

Katie’s hobbies include gardening, cooking, canning, learning about holistic health and essential oils, camping and spending time with her family and children, including her fur baby, Brody.
